Description
As is typical of roundette cabins, Smoky View Chalet's main living area is an airy, open space with plenty of windows to let in the sunshine and mountain breezes. Whether you're curled up on the couch to watch TV or surfing the web in the rocking chair, you're never far from the wood-burning fireplace, the dining table that seats six or the kitchen. The kitchen, by the way, is fully equipped with everything from a full-size refrigerator, oven/stove, coffee maker and a toaster, along with cookware and tableware. There's even a dishwasher because no one wants to waste precious vacation time scrubbing dishes.
Outside, you'll find a large picnic table so that you can take full advantage of the lush woodland view, the fresh mountain air, and the singing of warblers during the day and whip-poor-wills at night.
The spacious game room makes up the entire downstairs of Smoky View Chalet. The kids can play foosball while the grownups shoot pool-or vice versa-and everyone can sprawl out on one of the roomy sofas to watch a movie on the large flat-screen TV with cable and a DVD player.
The two bedrooms are back upstairs on the main floor, and each includes a flat-screen TV and plenty of storage. The primary bedroom boasts a king-size bed and large heart-shaped jetted tub. Enjoy a solo soak after a day of hiking or skiing to soothe your tired muscles or luxuriate among the bubbles with your special someone for a romantic end to the day.
The primary bedroom has an en-suite powder room as well. Smoky View Chalet's washer and dryer are in this half-bathroom. Here's your opportunity to return home from vacation with your laundry already done! The full bathroom, in the hall, includes a combination shower/tub. Of course, we'll provide all the clean towels you could possibly need, leave your linens home where they belong.
When you stay at Smoky View Chalet in summer, you'll have free access to the nearby outdoor pool. And any time of year, the cabin's location provides convenient access to an abundance of other things to do. For instance, just down the road is the Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Community, an eight-mile trail of more than 120 studios, galleries and shops featuring everything from woodcarvings to watercolors, chainsaw art to jewelry. Less than 15 minutes away are the wildlife, wildflowers and waterfalls of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Downtown Gatlinburg is just as close. Here's where you'll find the Guinness World Records Adventure, arcades, thrill rides, an aquarium, mini golf, distilleries and more. From downtown, you can ride the tram up to Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area, home to ice-skating and a wildlife exhibit year-round as well as skiing and snowboarding in winter.
However you spend your days, you'll love returning to the quiet charm and relaxing amenities of Smoky View Chalet. Book your stay today and start planning your fun-filled getaway.

Traveler Reviews
Not a good place to pick
To start off you can’t see the Smokey mountain all you see is trees. Place needs some up keep 2 dead trees that look like they can fall on the cabin at any time we had to trim the weeds so they wouldn’t scratch our vehicle when going in and out of the drive way. Porch had cigarette ashes all over it and there was roaches inside the cabin. Inside lights was dim and the one above the kitchen sink didn’t work or the one on the lower deck porch Also lower room is to small for the Pool table, and the beds are old And hard as rocks and hurt our backs. There was a hole in the wall we’re the main door hit it was like that when we got there looks like someone that didn’t no what they was doing tried to repair it.
Would recommend to others? NoThe Condition of the Cabin
I am very displeased with the stay. 1. there were no directions on how to use the whirl pool tub. So I thought it was broke. I called and asked for directions on how to use it, none were given. The repair person left lights on & water in the tub, but no instructions were left. We were not sure if the tub was fixed or how to use it. I called back to get the directions how to use it, the lady on the phone was kind enough to get the instructions for me. 2. There was trash on the outside of the cabin, all over the ground. I have several pictures for proof. The picnic table & chairs on the decks were also dirty to the point that I did not feel comfortable to use them. 3. There was no direction on where the community pool was. We had to guess & the pool we found did not seem welcoming to swim in.

The directions to the cabin was hard to get to, the road are narrow and no lights what so ever the sighn not easy to find. The cabin it self was nice. The mattresses are old and did hurt my back the grill was in front of the cabin were you park our cars. Not enough room for 2 cars and grill there. No place to sit. I like Gatlinburg. But I won’t stay here again

Would recommend to others? YesRelaxing
The property was nice it seems to be well maintained the appliances that I needed were there and it gave than old-fashioned feel and I enjoyed it there is only the jetted tub in the master bathroom there's no hot tub outside. That was a little disappointing but other than that we just enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful view. Also the customer service is like 24/7 available which is definitely awesome!
