Splash Mansion #500 - Gatlinburg Cabin

OUr family of 12 people came to this cabin with 3 grandbabies (9mos - 7yrs); 4 couples and 1 just graduated from UTK young man. The "good" is that the propoerty was nice and clean and the layout was just as pictured. We were very excited to hang out and spend some days together celebrating the UTK graduate. The "not so good" - I like to cook and the kitchen is very poorly outfitted. The oven has inconsistent heat, there is only 1 large skillet - try making breakfast for 10+ people with 1 skillet! THere is an electric skillet....with no plug... :-(... The refrigerator doesn't stay closed. THe overall neatness of the kitchen pots/pans is bad. The few pots/pans there are broken, stained, small etc... We were inconvenienced alot for that. There are a TON of carpenter bees. While I expect some - this was beyond ridiculous - we couldn't sit outside...oh, and there were only 2 rockers anyway, so no long nice nights/days with a group to chat... The carpets are in big time need of updating as is the furniture.... Overall, the cleanliness is great, the "stuff" to sit on, and walk on was old, dated, worn. I wouldn't be as critical except this was a pretty expensive cabin so I would have thought it would be stellar!! Also, the pool area has a fan, but it didn't work so the pool area had a strong chemical smell so we didn't have the grandkids in there very long.... View - IMPECCABLE.... So, just know this going in. We were disappointed in the cost for what we received and likely won't use Aunt Bugs in the future...

We had fun the cabin was beautiful but upon arriving at the cabin the cabin was not completely clean the jacuzzi had a dirt ring around the top of the tub and there were empty drink cans everywhere.

The heated in door pool was very cold, the hot tub was dirty, but the came the next day and cleaned it. The pool sticks were torn up, but still usable. There was only one fry pan to cook in but it was an electric fry pan with no cord to plug it in. They said the cabin would be decorated for Christmas but the only decoration was the Christmas tree. But other than those few things the cabin was great. we loved it.

cabin was beautiful but the views from the balcony were unbelievable we had our coffee every morning just sitting out there we would like to come back the next time in the fall

The cabin was very spacious and great for our big group. There are many steps between the 4 levels in case you have elderly. The pool was great for the kids and bedrooms/ beds were very nice. The only problem we encountered upon arrival was the kitchen was dirty. The table had particles of food still on it and it looked like the table had not been wiped down at all. The counter tops the same. Floor had not been swept from previous guest. I mention to the mgmt team when we checked out. other than that our stay was fabulous.

Splash mansion 500 was a great place for 10 of us. Great view and great setup. Close to Gatlinburg and easy to get to .

Overall pretty good. A few cleaning and other issues needed to be addressed.Porches were very dirty with bugs and needed to be blown off.Bathrooms were kind of clean. More detailed cleaning could be done.The floors were filthy. Our bare feet were black after walking around inside for a couple hours.The pool was dirty and needed to be cleaned out.The ice maker was broken in the refrigerator.

Great location with the best view on Gatlinburg. The furniture and especially tv's need a major upgrade. All the kids loved the rock climbing wall, indoor pool, hotub pool table and air hockey. Plenty of parking space. We will be back. I would rate this a 5 star if they would have had better tv's

convenient for our late arrival and early check out.

We loved the roominess of the house and the location was great. For the price though I would have expected it to have newer carpet and working showers. The carpet is ugly and stained and a couple of our showers did not work. Sliding shower door was messed up in my bathroom. The home needs to be better maintained.
