A Mountain Lair is the perfect place for your next vacation. This two bedroom, two bath cabin is convenient to all area attractions. After a long day, rest and relax in the hot tub or curl up in the sunroom with a good book or watch a movie. This semi-secluded cabin features cathedral ceilings, fully equipped kitchen, high-speed wireless internet access, pool table, 2 porches with rockers, gas grill, hair dryers, washer/dryer and a charming wood fireplace. This cabin is pet friendly, so you won't have to leave your 4-legged friend out of the excitement! There is ample parking your you and another couple on a grown-up getaway, or if you're bringing the little ones, a portable playpen is provided. Make your next stay a great one at A Mountain Lair. Price is based on 4 adults, each additional adult is $12.50 per day.

Cancellation Policy

No shows will forfeit any monies put down.

All group stays (2 or more cabins), 4 bedroom stays and larger, and stays totaling $1200.00 or more must prepay their stay 30 days in advance. No refunds or changes for cancellation of these stays.

Other than those listed above, you can cancel or change your reservations with this host. Cancellation must be at least 30 days prior to arrival in writing. A $120 cancellation fee is deducted from prepayment, no exceptions. There are no refunds or cancellations less than 30 days prior to arrival for any reason. All stays are prepaid 30 days prior to your arrival.

To change a confirmed reservation, you must give at least a 30 day notice to the host and stay within 6 months of original arrival date. A $35 fee will be charged and your stay must be prepaid in full and no refund if reservation is cancelled. Reservations that are changed with the host cannot be changed or cancelled for any reason. No credit will be issued for unused portions of time in case of late arrival or early departure.

Gift show

We enjoyed our stay the only issue was it smelled of urine in front of the couch,We totally understood that it was a pet friendly unit.We would suggest changing the carpet or making it a wood floor.I'm sorry to say we wouldn't stay in that unit.We will return to Tenn.we love it.

Great cabin!

We loved the cabin! It had everything we needed and it was very comfortable and very clean. It had enough yard for our dogs and several low windows for them to look out and watch the squirrels. We would stay there every time if it were a little farther down the mountain Only because it was a tedious drive and took longer than we like to get up and down the mountain.

Perfect!

The cabin was beautiful, everything was clean! The emergency line was extremely helpful, we arrived a bit late and I didn't see the front door, I was trying to go through the basement and couldn't get in. They stayed on the phone with me until I got in! All of the staff was super friendly!

Mountain Lair #1631

We had a really good time, spent the week with our daughter and family. The house was very clean and well equipped. The only reason I would not recommend the property to others is because other property rentals provide much better savings on local attractions which really helps out when you are on vacation with a family and the check in process was easier with the other rental company we used prior. They just sent us our codes to access the gate and cabin and we did not have to waste time checking in. Other than that the property itself was close to attractions and very well maintained. Thank you

Spacious , clean but a long drive!

Cabin was spacious and but too long of a drive in and out of the main road. We were a little surprised that a pet friendly cabin would have carpet throughout. Was nice to have a washer and dryer. We saw 15 turkeys while we were there. THere location is a negative for this cabin. You really need a 4 wheel drive at times and especially during the winter months. The management team was friendly and helpful and I would use Aunt Bugs rental agency again but would certainly check the location of the cabin next time!

Suggest somewhere else

No where on the rates part of your booking website did it say the pet fee. Only once you have rented and paid and are sent a copy of contract to sign. I rented based on price and amenities and had additional fees once I checked in. Also the hot tub breaker was kicked and the breaker box is in a separate part of house that is locked. When I called at 7:30 I was told the best they could do is have someone come out in the morning. The remotes to tv upstairs don’t work and this is a problem that has been reported in other reviews as well as the hot tub not working. Location is a mountain climb with no view.

WONDERFULL

My stay at Mountain Lair was a great place to stay. Very clean and close proximity to all the attractions of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and short driver to the Mountains. Will definitely be coming back to stay next year.

Great place

The location was in between Pigeon forge and gatlinburg. A little scary at night going back to cabin. The cabin was very nice and clean. We were unable to get the upstairs tv to work which wasnt a huge deal since we didnt go to watch tv anyways. The hot tub was clean and perfect temperature. The only complaint we have is the miscommunication. After we arrived and were unpacking, a newlywed couple walked into our cabin with the same paperwork that we had. The office had a mix up and sent them to our cabin with a code to our lockbox. We were all confused. Luckily, the couple was very nice and called the office who told them they had sent them to the wrong cabin. I understand that mistakes happen but the office didn't even call and apologize for the mixup and reassure us that it wouldnt happen again. So we spent all weekend wondering if we would come back to someone in our cabin. Overall, a great place and look forward to returning.
