Nice cabin, Great Location

This was our first time renting a cabin. We love to travel and have stayed in 5 star locations. I love the Smoky Mountains and I would stay here again. Great location, plenty of room clean. What more do you need.

Great location

Great location--Stayed for 5 nights in late October 2019. Enjoyed watching the bear family that lives in the neighborhood. Nice area to walk dogs up and down the hills--be careful of the bears though. I walked to town and and to the smokey mountain national park entrance and avoided the bumper to bumper traffic. - My son loved the arcade game in the cabin. The cabin was nice and clean but needs to be updated desperately. We did not even go out on the porch or near the hot tub. It looked a little scary out there. We did sit on the furniture because we were so busy and on the go but it was old and had holes in it. It looked a little dirty too. King bed was very comfortable. For the price it would be nice for the owner to do some updates and get new furniture. Some other cabins in the area are newer and updated and was less expensive if you book a few months ahead of stay. Overall the cabin was cute, great location and we had a great stay

Some good, some bad

We loved the location of this cabin. First time we've stayed in a cabin where we could walk to the Parkway, so that was great. The size was good for our family of 4 and my kids loved the hot tub. The kitchen looked renovated, but that was it. Overall the entire place needs a good scrubbing and update. I didn't want to walk on the carpet in my bare feet because it was so old & worn out. There was dust and cobwebs everywhere - even the comforters seemed dusty. We also had to call the police at 3am on the rowdy neighbors blaring music outside. No fault of this cabin owner, but detracted from overall experience. If this cabin were really cleaned & updated, including family room furniture, it would be a gem.

Great Weekend Getaway!

We came in for the holiday weekend. The cabin was nice and clean and the hot tub was already steaming hot. The walk to down town was a little over a mile. The hill coming back was steep but we like to get a little exercise while on vacation. It was great to have a steaming hot tub waiting for us when we got back from visiting down town. The TVs and dated and the appliances but I didn't visit to hang out in the cabin. We were so busy exploring that it didn't make a huge difference. One of the beds upstairs was uncomfortable but we only had four people so they just switched to the other bed.

Almost Home Away From Home

This cabin is in walking distance of everything Gatlinburg! A few issues - surface cleaning had been done, but the carpet in the bedroom needs to be replaced - beyond it’s life and cobwebs in the corners of room need to be removed as well. The kitchen needs a complete set of dishes and flatware - you shouldn’t have to share! It’s a small cabin - mounting the television above the fireplace would allow you to remove the oversized wall unit, build-in dresser in master bedroom would save on room too! A few details to be addressed to make it a much better stay!

Close to town

Everything was ok but th carpet is in need of replacing! Maybe the worse dirty carpet I've ever seen! Side by side of other cabins no privacy but you can't tell that by the pics or what they told me before booking. Other than that good stay.

Don't Be Fooled By Pictures

Shows a rustic mountain IS NOT, The house next to it on the right is less than 20 feet away. See the white object in the front? That's a sewer cleanout. If you want real pictures let me know, I'll send you a lot. The top is rotting off the hot tub.

Wonderful location & clean clean clean!

I was hesitant at first to rent a "dog friendly" cabin, but we needed to bring the dog at the last m and minute - but let me tell you, we were more than pleasantly surprised!! The cabin itself is adorable, and in a wonderful location!! Great kitchen & dining area where everyone can be together! The screened porch, porch swing and hot tub were wonderful to have! I'm sure the furnishings are getting some what near in need for updates, but NOT dirty, just a little dated. I doubt they could charge such a reasonable price if it were updated anyhow. FANTASTIC location, right off intersection of stop light 2. We have zero complaints & would most definitely stay at Anglers Perch with Aunt Bugs Cabin rentals again!! The staff was super friendly, called to make sure everything was to our liking & even sent a doggie bowl for the pup! Thank you for a delightful stay!!
