You’ll never be bored when you stay at Emerald View. The pet-friendly home, which can sleep fourteen people, is filled with entertainment options ranging from air hockey to board games to a hot tub. What’s more, it’s only minutes from the Bent Creek Golf Course, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and numerous other attractions.
Located in Gatlinburg’s exclusive Cobbly Nob neighborhood, Emerald View offers plenty of privacy. Surrounding the home are woodlands; thanks to their lush foliage, in spring and summer the views are emerald indeed. Just beyond are the Smoky Mountains, which you can admire from the home’s expansive deck. The alfresco dining area allows you to watch falcons and eagles soar above the mountains while you savor your meal. You can also revel the scenery and the fresh mountain breeze while luxuriating in the deck’s roomy hot tub.
The great room has its own stunning view of the Smokies, thanks to a double-height wall of windows. Two couches and two armchairs ensure that everyone can kick back and enjoy the scenery—or watch a movie on the flat-screen TV with cable. Below the TV is a fireplace you’ll love gathering around on chilly winter evenings.
The great room includes a second, indoor dining area. This table, like the one on the deck, seats eight people with room to spare. It’s just steps from the well-equipped kitchen. Emerald View has an outdoor grill as well. Whether it’s burgers from the market or fish from a nearby stream, it will taste extra special when grilled outdoors.
Emerald View’s garage has been converted to a game room. (Don’t worry: There’s plenty of room on the large, level driveway for all your vehicles.) The game room is where you’ll have to make the toughest decision of your stay: which game you should play first. You can choose from pool, ping-pong, and air hockey. As if that weren’t enough, the home’s loft has a bumper-pool table, and there are also plenty of puzzles and board games. What’s more, Emerald View has free WiFi and a stereo system so that you can listen to your favorite tunes while you relax.
And speaking of relaxing, wait until you see the bedrooms. The master suite is a true delight. Beneath its vaulted ceiling is a king-size bed, a sofa that makes an ideal reading spot, and a TV. French doors lead out to the deck, so you can slip outside for a spot of stargazing with your sweetie before calling it a night. Or perhaps you’d rather unwind in the master bathroom’s Jacuzzi. It’s large enough to accommodate four people—though it’s especially romantic when it’s just the two of you.
The second bedroom features a queen-size bed and its own sleeping loft. Accessible by a ladder, this cozy space has futons so that two more people can sleep up here. It also doubles as a playroom for the kids—or as a hideaway where you can escape for some private time. The third bedroom includes another queen-size bed, and like the master suite, it opens onto the deck. A fourth queen-size bed is located in the same loft as the bumper-pool table. And if you have more guests, two sofas open into beds for two.
Because Emerald View is within Cobbly Nob, which in turn is set within a 1,000-acre resort, in the summer you’ll have access to the neighborhood’s two swimming areas. At the foot of Cobbly Nob, less than a ten-minute drive from Emerald View, is the award-winning Bent Creek Golf Course, designed by legendary golfer Gary Player. The house is only a fifteen-minute ride from two of the area’s best-known attractions: the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the Smoky Mountain Arts & Crafts Community. Just a little farther is downtown Gatlinburg, home to thrill rides, Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, and numerous other attractions.
A stay at Emerald View offers something for everyone. So don’t miss out: Make your reservation today!
