Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your reservation 15 or more days prior to your arrival date a voucher for a future stay will be issued by host in the amount of the deposit less the reservation fee for use for a future stay within 365 days of the date of cancellation. If you cancel your reservation 14 days or less prior to arrival you will be responsible for the full reservation amount (you will forfeit the full deposit amount and the non-refundable reservation fee, and shall be responsible for the remaining rent amount and all other applicable charges associated with the reservation). Only the Guest named on the Agreement may cancel a reservation and cancellations must be made by phone call to Hosts Office.

Plans can be changed before 14 days prior to the scheduled check in with no penalty. No changes are permitted within 14 days of check in.

Top-class family reunion cabin

Great views with privacy (very rare), very spacious outdoors and lots of common areas and amenities make this a excellent cabin for a large family gathering. The cabin is old but is furnished with quality furniture and amenities. The balcony looking onto the Mt. Leconte & smokies is unmatched family gathering and relaxing spot, while the pool, hot tub, outdoor basketball hoop give multiple fun options to hang around for family members of all ages. Well furnished kitchens with multiple grilling options means you don't have to leave the cabin if you do not want to. A grocery store is close by if you do need to stock up. All in all, it is a gem so I would recommend booking it if you can. Now, to be a useful review - I would try to think about the things that could be a damper for somebody spending big money on this cabin for their family, 1) If the weather does not permit being outside at all, you would lose a lot of the great outdoor space this cabin has - so that could be a consideration. 2) This one a has a lot of sleeping space - but there is a lot of variety with bedrooms so make sure you have guests who are pretty close and not too concerned about comparing bedrooms. 3) The only complain I have for the management is that the jets into the pool (shown in the pictures) never worked - even after a visit from the maintenance; not something that we really got unhappy about, but still would have been more fun for kids if they worked. There it is - I would book this cabin in a heartbeat again if I have the right people to be there and enough dough to spent. If you love mountains views and have the above two things covered - book it now!!! you would not be disappointed. Thank you.

Mountain View Mansion

The property is great. Inside the main house is a little older and outdated, but the pool house and outdoor area is wonderful. The road up to the cabin is very narrow, but that's what gets you up to the amazing view. We did have issues with the projector in the pool house a couple times. The maintenance guy was super helpful and fixed the issue quickly; it was just annoying to have the issues. A better projector should be installed. The property also lacked enough towels. There were only 2 per bathroom. When you have a pool house, you should have a closet full so it was a little annoying to have to do a load of towels every day too. All in all super fun and we had a great time at the fire pit, pool, and admiring the great view!

We can understand your frustration regarding the issue with the projector and would like to assure you the projector is fully functional. It appeared that a previous guest had made some adjustments on it. We are happy to see our technician was able to set it back to the proper settings so you and your guests could enjoy it during your stay. This property is stocked with 30 bath towels along with 20 pool towels. We try to make sure with a property this size there are enough towels so that it is not necessary to wash towels each day. Our housekeepers often fold part of the towels into animal shapes and leave those on the individual beds. Sometimes these are misinterpreted as being just for decoration when that is not our intention. We apologize if that was the case. Mansion mountain

Gate code worked perfect the first time, but the rest of the stay it took up to 2-5mins to get the gate to open. Hot water didn't last long for showers and bath. To much chemical in pool. Firewood on site would have been nice, basketballs were flat. Upstairs didn't seem vacuumed when we got there. Not enough towels. Driving directions were confusing, large retaining wall is not a good reference point bc the road is full of large retaining walls. A better reference would have been when the 4 lanes merges to 2 lanes take a left onto buckhorn road.

Great escape

What a great way to meet up with family and spend special time together. Mountain View certainly had a magnificent mountain view and plenty of room and fun for little ones. We would visit again.

Mountain Mansion Weekend

We rented the Mountain Mansion as a way to bring a bunch of our friends and children together for a winter weekend. We all have multiple children from ages 1-12. In total we had 5 couples and 13 kids. The mansion is really nice with a patios, tv's and other amenities scattered everywhere throughout the property. The home was clean and good order when we arrived. Although the stay was nearly perfect, I would only state that if you have younger kids, bring a cheap baby gate. There is a down stairs with no door from the main floor. We rented a baby gate from a local company along with a baby bed. Outside of that, everything else was perfect and I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Great Experience!

Overall our experience with Elks Springs Resorts was great! We loved that we didn't have to go to an office before checking into our "mansion." Overall it was exactly as described.. even better in person! The pool room really makes it, without that I would never pay such a steep price. I must say though, I've been to Gatlinburg at least 8 times while growing up and I've never had a place with such a view in that area. This was completely remote, quiet, yet just 10 minutes to downtown. The place was furnished well and completely stocked, although the floors were a bit dirty when we first entered. We had some minor issues with the water in the upstairs bathrooms not working, and the pool table room's fridge/lights not working; however, we had a small group of just 6 so we never relayed this to management until just before we left. It didn't affect our trip at all. Main suggestion, please get a new projector in the pool room. We had 6 tech savvy young adults and none of us were able to get it working.. we shouldn't have to call for directions for something so simple. All in all, was a great experience, fabulous house, and great location!

We did recently replace the projector in the pool room after it got to the point of not being repairable any more. Sorry about the floors being a bit dirty. Prior to your arrival, some of our staff had been hauling Christmas decorations up from the lower level to the main level and also out to the pool house. In their haste, they did not do a thorough job of cleaning up after themselves. We are very sorry for any inconveniences caused during your stay, but appreciate you allowing us the opportunity to take care of these issues while you were our guest. We hope you are already discussing your next trip back to the Great Smoky Mountains!

Beautiful property with great amenities

We had a fabulous time! There are so many amenities you don't even need to leave the property. The pool area is to die for, and a few of us wanted to make the downstairs billiard area our own apartment. Each bedroom was very comfortable and the only complaint is that two bedrooms had to share a bathroom but we got over it quickly by playing games like cornhole and preparing wonderful meals on the array of grills provided. Everyone from the grandparents, the young adults to the toddler had a great time. Worth every penny!

Where do I begin...

Mountain View Mansion was first off...amazingly huge and had all the space we needed for our group(14). I have to say that the overall stay was great. The view was absolutely one of the best I've ever seen in my life! Pure serenity! The separate pool house with full kitchen was super fun and we found ourselves in there almost everyday having a pool party with and sometimes without the kids. So much space to chill, have family time, and alone time when needed. My only reason for the 3 for property cleanliness is because when we first walked in to go up the stairs, the first thing you notice was the painted backing of the steps were dirty.(like scuff marks/dirt marks) Not a good look for the first thing you see when walking in and the price paid. Then once upstairs to check the rooms..all were decent except one with a huge dried stain on the carpet! Last complaint would be us having to clear Cobb Webb's from a lot of places that were in common areas and kill a couple of huge spiders in common areas! We had little kids there and planned on letting them play hide and seek but opted out of that idea after finding 2 too many large spiders. I just feel like for the price the place could've been cleaner. Other than those few complaints....we still had an amazing time using the mansion. We made great memories that our families will never forget. I would still definitely recommend the property. It's simply beautiful...just need that little TLC before the next family stays there.

Great Experience

Great experience. Only thing is out of towners should be warned about the narrow 1 way road when driving up a mountain to get to the cabin.

The pool house was great

Beautiful location, very remote. The pool house was great - lots of fun watching movies while in the pool. House needed a MAJOR cleaning and some updating. Not worth $6K for a week. We also had what we considered a minor security breach (someone drove up the 1/2 mile private drive, squeezed through gate, and wanted to talk to us about coating the driveway....we called the police).
