Venture our less than 1 mile and you are in the heart of the Arts and Crafts community. go another 5 minutes and you are at the Greenbriar entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National park where you can trout fish in the Little Pigeon River or hike the miles of trails connecting to the Appalachian Trail!

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your reservation 15 or more days prior to your arrival date a voucher for a future stay will be issued by host in the amount of the deposit less the reservation fee for use for a future stay within 365 days of the date of cancellation. If you cancel your reservation 14 days or less prior to arrival you will be responsible for the full reservation amount (you will forfeit the full deposit amount and the non-refundable reservation fee, and shall be responsible for the remaining rent amount and all other applicable charges associated with the reservation). Only the Guest named on the Agreement may cancel a reservation and cancellations must be made by phone call to Hosts Office.

Plans can be changed before 14 days prior to the scheduled check in with no penalty. No changes are permitted within 14 days of check in.

Beautiful View

Staying in the cabin was a lot of fun, it was very spacious and the theater room was great for watching movies with my family. It was a little tricky getting to the cabin due to it's location and us not being used to small roads but after a few trips it was no problem at all. The location was perfect for going to the mountains and a grocery store was conveniently available close by. We had an amazing time, although the air hockey table was broken when we arrived the maintenance team did their best to quickly repair it.

Nice getaway

We loved the cabin and amentites. The only complaints I have is the fridge didn't work properly at first we had to unplug so we lost food that we purchased. Also they only provide 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom and 1 roll of paper towels. no dust pan or clears of any kind. So if you book bring toilet paper for sure. Other than that the layout was nice and offered privacy for each floor level. parking was crowded with neighbors but was workable.

We apologize if this created an inconvenience for you and your group. In an attempt to avoid confusion, we do send out emails prior to each visit stating to our guests what we provide for our guests. We do only provide a starter supply of all paper items such as toilet tissue, paper towels and trash bags. We are sorry if you assumed there would be more. Elk Springs Stat Over

A shiort 2 day stay for a group of 8 that travel together every year. All in all we were happy with our stay, everything we needed and a nice addition of pool table and air hockey.

Cabin was Ok!!

Me and my family stayed at this cabin and unlike the cabin my mom, grand mom and aunts stayed in itbhad a few things I had to call office about. I needed a few more towels that they texted me and told me I couldn’t, lightbulbs were out. Knives were extremely dull, I didn’t get in jacuzzi myself but my son did and said it was “kind of slimy”. The jacuzzi also has a very mildew smell that came off of those who DID get in and the smell stayed in their swim gear. The freezer did not seem to be programmed to a very high setting because it took a long time to freeze popsicles. Last but not least , we had a few issues getting the TVs working in 2 bedrooms maintenance was called and took quite a while to come back for that and simply replacing a bulb and s family member eventually got the TVs working correctly. I also do not like the fact that more garbage bags are not given and that our garbage did not get replaced one time during our 3 day stay and it was coming out of the cage. The family getaway itself was nice and the cabin was descent but sometimes it’s the littlest things that can frustrate a trip and those are a few listed above.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us, Tameka. Your review certainly concerns us, as this is not our standard of service. We were able to review the issues you reported and would like to clarify on these, as this is not what we are showing. We provide enough towels prior to check in to accommodate the number of guests the cabin sleeps. We do not provide extras during the stay since each cabin has a washer and dryer, along with a starter pack of laundry detergent to launder the towels provided. The only light bulb that was reported as being out was the bulb over the kitchen sink, and we show that it was changed within 40 minutes of the time you reported it being out. We also see that the trash was removed within 30 minutes of your request. Our technicians are required to document each task with a photo, and both of these items show completed within that time frame. The issue with the TVs were reported on the night of your arrival. A technician arrived within an hour and was asked to come back later as the occupants were busy at that time. We can understand this, and respected your wishes. The technician went back out in an hour, as he informed you, and no one was at the cabin. When he returned for a third time that evening, he was told that they did not want it fixed that night. When the technician arrived the next morning, on the fourth attempt, he was told it was already fixed. It is our policy that each hot tub is drained, cleaned and refilled adding the proper amount of chemicals between each stay. We require our housekeepers to submit time and date stamped photos for each cabin. We do see this was submitted when the cabin was cleaned prior to your arrival. We sincerely apologize for your disappointment and hope you were able to enjoy your time spent in our area.

Beyond expectations

We are extremely positively surprised by Diamond in the Rough. Sometimes pictures can be deceiving but the cabin looked even better in reality. The house was very clean and very spacious. The beds were comfortable.The only minor comment that I would make is that there weren't enough plates for one meal for 13 people so we ended up having to buy paper plates which I don't find very environmental-friendly. Overall our stay was fantastic and we are planning to come back next year.

Family Reunion

Wonderful cabin full of room and opportunities for lots of fun. However, the pictures online do not show how close the cabins are to each other. No room for the children to play outside by this cabin. Parking was a huge headache. We had a problem with spiders. We reported having a huge black widow spider outside the front door area and many other spiders. Someone finally came and got rid of the black widow but did not spray or even sweep away all of the other spiders around the cabin. It was a huge concern with our young grandchildren.

The photos online are meant to show guests details of that specific cabin, not the surrounding cabins. With the cabin located in the mountains and surrounded by trees, the spiders and webs can literally pop up overnight. We do make every effort to sweep these down at every cabin cleaning and we are sorry that they weren't completely eradicated prior to your stay. Wonderful Stay

Family Vacation

Between the adults and the kids there was 17 of us and we sleep comfortably. The kids were in heaven with the game room and theater.

Easter holiday

0verall we had a very good time our only suggestion is we strongly believe that the tv in the common room main floor needs to be replaced. At the cost of the nightly rental compares to the cost of televisions today it really needs to be replaced it would effect our family’s return to that cabin

Weekend Couples trip
