Grin & Bear It - Gatlinburg Cabin

The folks at Elk Springs go the distance to accommodate visitors. Every one of them was friendly, helpful and courteous to talk to. We really enjoyed our visit.

We spent two nights there. We love the kitchen a lot, as it is fully equipped. We also enjoyed the hot tub and pool table.

Must Do once A Year

This was our third stay at the resort and our first time in this cabin.They are all beautifully decorated,comfortable and very clean.This is the best place to "get away" and enjoy the best of the mountains.

Wonderful! The personnel were pleasant, knowlegeable, and courteous during the sign-up as well as during the week.Cabin (cottage) was up to standards, well furnished and everything in working order. The driveway needs a little work as it was almost impossible to drive in straight on. We used the neighbors drive way and backed into the cabins driveway, much easier.

This was the second time time this year and everything went well. I enjoyed everything and I will be back!!

"Very private and very secluded - the two most important features you have requested" That is directly from your website and those were the two most important aspects of the cabin we were looking for. Our cabin was less than 50ft from our neighboring cabin. I would hardly describe that as secluded let alone very secluded. For the amount I paid for the cabin I expected it to be farther into the woods with at least some trees between in and the neighboring cabin. The pictures on the website are misleading in that regard. I passed up other cabins because of their proximity to neighbors and thought I was paying extra for a private retreat. I will not stay here again nor recommend it. The cabin was not what I was looking for and I find the blatantly untruthful description and pictures very unprofessional.

The location was very convenient, yet private and quiet. It was very clean and well-maintained. The furnishings were in good condition, comfortable beds, nice kitchen, etc. We did experience a problem with the cable television and we called the customer service and they were out within 10 minutes. In addition we received several courtesy calls afterwards to make sure the problem was fixed, which it was. We had a great time and would recommend this to everyone.

We loved our stay at 'Grin and Bear It'. We have 4 children aged 1-10 and the cabin was perfect for a landing spot for our daily adventures into the Smokey mountains. It was gorgeous, beautifully decorated and comfortable (well, except for the horrible fold out mattress in the sofa-that needs immediate replacement) and we didn't want to leave! Better than a home away from home. We wished this was our home!

The main reason we a repeated customers is because we always know that any cabin in this resort is going to be clean. That is a #1 thing for me. The cabin was beautiful!! However, if I have to pick out something that was not really to my liking, I would have to say that the turn in to cabin was very hard. We had thought about bringing a trailer to haul some furniture back that we bought and I am so glad we didn't. The reservation person said we could get one in there...she must have better driving skills than we do!! You have to use the driveway of the cabin next to you to back out, but we had a truck. Also, I am a fool about a canopy bed. The picture on the website showed one and there was not one in there :( I also missed the rain shower, as other cabins on the property have. Other than those minor things, the stay was wonderful!!
