Enjoy a barbecue with the outdoor stainless steel gas grill, shoot a game of pool or play on the Foosball table in front of your gas fireplace. Host Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your reservation 15 or more days prior to your arrival date a voucher for a future stay will be issued by host in the amount of the deposit less the reservation fee for use for a future stay within 365 days of the date of cancellation. If you cancel your reservation 14 days or less prior to arrival you will be responsible for the full reservation amount (you will forfeit the full deposit amount and the non-refundable reservation fee, and shall be responsible for the remaining rent amount and all other applicable charges associated with the reservation). Only the Guest named on the Agreement may cancel a reservation and cancellations must be made by phone call to Hosts Office.

Plans can be changed before 14 days prior to the scheduled check in with no penalty. No changes are permitted within 14 days of check in.

Thanksgiving in the smokeys

We had a blast. The cabin was beautiful. If I could recommend something it would be to have a hose outside to fill the jacuzzi when the water levels get low. I would also have a little thicker blankets or maybe have double thin ones on the bed because the heat was too much for us but the thin blankets with no heat weren't enough. Aside from that it was amazing. Very pretty cabin. Oh and description said a x box was in cabin and there wasn't one. We would have brought ours from home had we known. We stayed 8 days.

Blown Away

Our cabin certainly impressed. Heck, every one of us giggled like a mad man upon walking through the front door or stood slack-jawed in wonder. The place was stunning. The kids enjoyed holding foosball tournaments, while Mom and Dad got the most out of the hot tub on the back deck. Not only would I recommend staying with Elk Springs Resort, I already have shared the resort's information with several friends who inquired after seeing our photos on Facebook. And this cabin's best feature...well, that 2-story shower is a luxury that defies description. You just have to try it for yourself.

Construction should not be included in vacation.

Hello, this is the 4th or 5th time that we have stayed at Elk Springs Resort. The past has always been wonderful. Our cabin location this time was on the far side of several cabins being built. Each time we entered or left we had to work our way past construction vehicles and materials, sometimes having to wait to get past vehicles parked in the road. The construction noise made it hard to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the mountains if we were outside of the cabin. There was a trailer parked close to our cabin, so between the parked cars at the cabin beside us and the trailer, the only place we could park was on a semi-steep hill right in front of our cabin. I realize that construction has to be done, but it would have been helpful if the property management would have warned us ahead of time so we could have selected another cabin or location. We come to the mountains for peace and quiet with a relaxing atmosphere. Unfortunately we did not get that this time.

Reunite in Gatlinburg

My best friend and I are both in the military, and we haven't been able to see each other in quite some time, but we managed to land a weekend leave at the same time and decided to stay in Spur of the Moment (appropriately named) ...easily the best decision we could have made. We spent a relaxing weekend with our wives enjoying all that the small shops at the bottom of the mountain and returned to a cabin in the woods with all the amenities of our home and more. I've already recommended this trip to plenty of my friends and my parents. I can't wait to return to ‘Spur of the Moments’ next year!P.S. Ask for Military Discount!

Vacation November 2020

The cabin was very nice with only a few issues. The 18ft rain shower was absolutely awesome. We never used the regular tub and shower as once you tried the rain shower you were in heaven. I loved all the tall windows, but it would have been even better if you could have seen mountains or a river or stream. But, on another note, it was very peaceful as at the end of a cul-de-sac. The hot tub was nice, except when we went to get in it the second time, the water level was down below the jets. We had maintenance come out and he refilled it, but it wouldn't be warm until hours later so we never got to get in it again before we left. He was thinking it may have a leak and put in a service call, which didn't help us, as we were leaving the next day. We recommended that the cleaning crew be a little more detailed, as some of the dishes under the cabinet were not totally cleaned and we had to wash before using. Also, the master bedroom had a dead rose behind the bed. There were also several lights out that should have been replaced. Also, on the last night, the fire alarm in the master bedroom kept beeping all night. We took the battery out, but apparently it was wired in. Overall, I would stay at the cabin again or one just like it, as the rain shower was wonderful and the tall windows.

A so so experience.

Several issues with the cabin. Mostly small problems that did not ruin the experience.Lights out, dead bugs (including roaches) found inside, tv in the bedroom did not work were just some.

Bad water heater

The stay would have been perfect if the water heater worked properly. Yes, it made hot water. But, it made an INCREDIBLY disturbing vibration noise that woke my children up at night while I was trying to take a romantic bath with my wife. Furthermore, trying to reach maintenance to fix the problem was next to impossible. After reaching a very unenthusiastic person on the phone, who said the problem would be fixed, did NOTHING! I would ask for a refund, but I don't want to deal with those people anymore. However, the cabin was beautiful.

An absolute dream!

This cabin was so beautiful, my family will never forget this trip! We will definitely stay again, it is so close to downtown Gatlinburg and close to Pigeon Forge too! Next time we will probably just lounge around the cabin, it was so great to come home to the jacuzzi and the heart shaped jet tub was a bonus too great to take a bubblebath in there. You will have the trip of a lifetime here!
