Not only will you enjoy the seclusion, but you will be amazed at how convenient and close the cabin is to the best attractions and activities. In addition, you will enjoy spreading out in this luxury yet rustic cabin and enjoying the luxury furnishings and amenities it offers.

*** Note the kitchen in this cabin is functional, but small. You will have to setup the dining table for each meal.

Relax upstairs in the great room with lofted ceilings and unique food flooring with fireplace, luxury furnishings and 18 foot vaulted ceilings while the kids head downstairs to the game room to shoot pool, play air hockey, or go nuts on the stand up arcade game with Ms. Pac Man, Galaga and many other games. Relax on the covered deck in the hot tub under the stars or enjoy your morning coffee watching the wild life through the woods.

There are 2 suites on the main level, one with queen bed and one with twin over queen bunk in the other. The cabin features a unique queen upstairs bedroom in the loft where your guests will marvel at the beams and wood work in the vaulted ceilings.

Digital TV is included with this cabin. The kitchen is fully equipped for in cabin meals including a dining room and there is a washer and dryer for your convenience if needed during long or short stays

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your reservation 15 or more days prior to your arrival date a voucher for a future stay will be issued by host in the amount of the deposit less the reservation fee for use for a future stay within 365 days of the date of cancellation. If you cancel your reservation 14 days or less prior to arrival you will be responsible for the full reservation amount (you will forfeit the full deposit amount and the non-refundable reservation fee, and shall be responsible for the remaining rent amount and all other applicable charges associated with the reservation). Only the Guest named on the Agreement may cancel a reservation and cancellations must be made by phone call to Hosts Office.

Plans can be changed before 14 days prior to the scheduled check in with no penalty. No changes are permitted within 14 days of check in.

Very secluded, plumbing issues, cob webs.

Cabin is very secluded. Which is what we were going for. This cabin has plumbing issues that need to be resolved before it is rented again. We had issues with Jacuzzi tub in basement human feces and sewage coming up through drain. Other than that cabin was good! Just be sure plumbing is fixed and you like seclusion. This cabin also needs a good deep cleaning-- there were visible cob webs in several places.

Deer To My Heart is definitely a nice, quite cabin to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We are very sorry to hear you experienced this issue during your visit. It appears as thought the septic tank had to be drained and this has since been taken care of. Although we do have our cabins sprayed monthly for common household insects, it is almost impossible to completely eradicate all cobwebs, as they can literally pop up overnight. Our housekeeping staff performed a deep clean of this cabin recently, and we hope you will make plans to visit here again in the future. Please keep in mind, as repeat visitors you will enjoy 10% off all future bookings.

Dirt to my Heart!!!!! Aka "Deer to my a Heart"

My opinion, they asked for a review. Don't let E.S.R fool you, they were notified within 15 minutes of arrival & the next day they did a courtesy call did NOTHING to resolve the problems except offer new sheets. Businesses that truly care about customers would try to fix issues not hide from them or cover them up with excuses. Cabin was NEVER cleaned! We arrived & there was dog food on the ground at the steps of this "NOT A PET FRIENDLY CABIN" This cabin was filthy! If we broke our contract they would see us in court. THIS "RESORT" failed to hold up there end & there is nothing we can do about it. Cleaning staff should find another job or ESR should just pay them to stay home. Bought a vacuum, cleaning supplies & allergy medicine (my family has severe allergies to dogs, dust & mold)! No way would 6 days in filth work, don't do it at home or on vacation. 2 days of vacation to get it clean enough to deal with. We did not make it spotless not our job. I bugs in the mountains, so I expected some, BUT I will never understand why the cleaning crew can't vacuum & get dead bugs off the floors, counters & out of corners. Spider webs in plain site. NOT A PET FRIENDLY CABIN had dog food under furniture & in the laundry room, along pet hairs all over & in the beds! Hot tub was disgusting! We did report this to housekeeping & the Main office & their excuse was "It could have been a service animal" & we can't say anything about them. As for housekeeping, we don't know what happened..I do..they cashed your check & did NOT earn it. Shame on you all! They didn't acknowledge they failed, or offer to fix the problems or move us to a different cabin! A roach in the day crawling up my child's leg & not a active nest of roaches above shower Unacceptable Wi-Fi is slow.

Fall break

We had a wonderful time. My children loved the cabin and it kept them very entertained. There was plenty of wildlife around this secluded cabin. There was plenty of room for everyone. Elk Springs was very accomdating. There was a issue with stink bugs everywhere inside but they are harmless. Cant wait to return. I o ly wished i coild have spoke to katie sokner when making reservations. I wanted to add a day to our stay but it took her three days to return my call and then the room had already been booked. If she would have called me back or if someone else there would have helped me it would have been an issue.

Family Retreat

We will be returning. The cabin was immaculate and the amenities were perfect for entertaining the children while the adults prepared for the end or beginning of the day. The caving was centrally located to all of the activities that we decided to explore. We would strongly recommend the property.

Christmas Getaway

The road to the cabin was a little rough in a couple of places, but I have a Jetta so that's to be expected. The view of the trees was great and it's definitely quiet. The cabin was ready with lights on, heat running and hot tub water at temp. The cabin was clean and lots of kitchen and bathroom items. The one problem was a stain of some sort on the bedspread on the top bunk, but besides that the furniture and beds were all good. The gas fireplace was wonderful especially to open our presents in front of on Christmas morning. The tv in the bedroom with the queen bed didn't have satellite so no watching tv in there. The sound of the furnace in the bunk bed room was loud and the tv had to be turned up loud just to hear it. The living room one was great and we didn't use the one in the basement. The pool table in the basement was good, but tight for making a lot of shots so if you take your game seriously this might not be the table for you. The air hockey machine was taped in sections making it impossible for the puck to bounce off and it kept getting stuck on the ends so we didn't play long. The arcade game upstairs is loud and interferes with the watching of tv or radio in the living room. The joystick also has a mind of its own and made some of the games hard to play. The hot tub was great with lots of seating, but we didn't use the jacuzzi in the basement since we had that. We used the dryer for our towels and swimsuits before we left and it worked fine. It's a beautiful cabin all to itself, but with the air hockey and arcade game not working well I was a little upset. That's really the reason I booked this particular place so my son would have a great time. We still had a wonderful Christmas eve and day and for that it was worth the trip.

Great Experience staying at this Elk Springs Resort Property

This cabin (Deer to my Heart) was our home away from home for 6 days. The property was clean and well maintained and the staff was very accommodating. If you’re looking for a get-away but want to avoid the crowds and enjoy some peace and quiet; I would recommend this cabin.
