Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your reservation 15 or more days prior to your arrival date a voucher for a future stay will be issued by host in the amount of the deposit less the reservation fee for use for a future stay within 365 days of the date of cancellation. If you cancel your reservation 14 days or less prior to arrival you will be responsible for the full reservation amount (you will forfeit the full deposit amount and the non-refundable reservation fee, and shall be responsible for the remaining rent amount and all other applicable charges associated with the reservation). Only the Guest named on the Agreement may cancel a reservation and cancellations must be made by phone call to Hosts Office.

Plans can be changed before 14 days prior to the scheduled check in with no penalty. No changes are permitted within 14 days of check in.

A wonderful get away

We had a great time at this cabin. Everything was as pictured. Very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed and even had dish soap and laundry detergent. We had to call maintanence a couple of times. Once the water was off and the other to address no lights by the hot tub. Both were addressed quickly. My only issue was the grill. I envisioned a Weber type grill but it was a permanent grill in the grounds. With all the rain we had it never dried out so we could not use it. Also, I have never seen spiders so big! I know there is nothing that can be done about that but it prevented us from using the hot tub at night. But that’s just me! At least they stayed outside. It’s a very steep drive to the cabin too. I can’t imagine trying to get up there in the winter. But you get used to it just in time to check out. 15 minutes to Gatlinburg and you have to drive through the Arts and Craft community to get there which was nice. Would absolutely rent from Elk Springs again! One more thing, the tv has parental locks on. We asked the office and they offered suggestions but none worked.

Slice of Heaven

Nice cabin in a beautiful area. great having extra space and washer and dryer. Had a couple of issues at the beginning of our week. Sheets were not clean and the dish washer did not work. The sent someone to change the sheets and a new dish washer was put in the cabin. Who wants to wash dishes on vacation? After several phone calls we did a credit for our stay. Overall, the cabin is nice. Great place for a family because of the extra space and away from it all.

Our stay at a slice of heaven

The cabin was clean and cozy! Great location! However the hot tub didn't heat up the entire time which was a huge bummer

Beautiful view

Cabin was very clean and had all the utilities you will need for a weekend long stay.Cabin is somewhat far from all the local attractions but it’s expected if you really want an outdoor cabin experience.

Peace getaway

The slice of heaven cabin view of the mountain was awesome during the day to night. You can see the outline both times. The cabin had your necessities and it was clean. It wasn't by the busy streets. Customer service was excellent. The people are much friendlier down there.

Weekend with old friends

Cabin was very nice, perfect for two couples. We've been to the Smokies and stayed in cabins many times over the years and this had the absolute best view(s) of any of them. Only problem was the dishwasher, sad to say this but we couldn't get it to work. Most are intuitive as far as running it, this one not so much (no start button).

Unacceptable Customer Service

The cabin was beautiful and its location was ideal.However, we were cleaning upon arrival. Thankfully there was a Walmart nearby for cleaning supplies. Flooring was poorly kept (laminate flooring near kitchen had holes in it, carpeting was dark / filthy). Glass dining table was full of streaks and fingerprints. Top of refrigerator had a film of dust. Bathrooms were also significantly dusty (between paneling/ corners and window valances). Toilets were stained. Pots and pans were falling apart (no lids,teflon was all scratched, and all handles were loose). Additionally, bedsheet / mattress cover in the loft was grossly stained. The off white curtains on the main level were all stained as well. The spa was not sanitized and merely drained and refilled. We requested bromine tabs to no avail. We personally bought bromine / spa shock. We were easy going and addressed issues independently figuring we were in the woods so what can we expect, but each day it was something new. So we decided to check out a day early. We notified Elks Springs of our early check out and lack of hygienic practices providing pictures and screenshots of text communications as per issues. We kindly requested a refund (approx. $150 for the 1 day [early check out] for the unsanitary inconveniences. They said they couldn't but would review it and get back to me. After not hearing back after a week, I contacted Elks Springs as per the status of the refund and was told it was denied. I thanked them and informed them that I would include our communications and supporting pictures on all reviews (Google, Yelp, TripAdvisor, etc.). I can only hope that they addressed the unacceptable housekeeping issues for the next guests. Honestly, we loved TN and look forward to a do over. We travel often and abroad renting luxury cabins without issues. This was a first for us. Thankfully, there are many rental companies that prioritize best practices; unlike Elks Springs.

We can understand that you would be disappointed, however, the only items that were brought to our attention were the request for facial tissue and bromine tablets. We try to prepare our guests in advance by sending an itemized list of items that are provided at the cabin. Facial tissues are not listed as we do not provide these in any of the cabins. Your statement regarding the cleanliness of the hot tub are simply not true. We require each of the cleaners to provide a time and date stamped photo of the sanitized hot tub. This photo must include the required chemicals prior to each guest's arrival. We do have photos showing shock and bromine were added prior to your arrival. Your refund request was denied, as we were not given the opportunity to see or address any of the issues. We provide 24/7 guest assistance to ensure any issue that arises can be handled quickly. It is our policy, as outlined in our guest agreement, to rectify any issues rather than refunding. We can assure you that each of the items mentioned will be assessed. We sincerely apologize for any misunderstanding and hope you were able to enjoy your time spent in our area in light of these issues.
