The views of the Great Smoky Mountains and the dense woodlands from Smoky Ridge View are spectacular. But as well as plenty to see, the three-bedroom cabin offers plenty to do: Its amenities include a pool table, an outdoor hot tub, an arcade, cable TV, and free WiFi. Plus, it’s only a short drive to the attractions of downtown Gatlinburg, Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park, and Ski Area, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and more.
As soon as you step inside Smoky Ridge View you can tell that comfort, convenience, and elegance were top priorities when the three-story home was designed. The double-height vaulted ceiling and oversized windows emphasize the spaciousness of the open-plan living/dining/kitchen area. At the same time, the luxe leather couches and lustrous wood tables accentuate the rustic refinement of the planked floor and walls. Whether you’re stretched out on a sofa or perched at the breakfast bar, you’ll be able to watch a movie or the big game on the 42” HDTV with cable and DVD player.
The dining table seats six, and there’s room for two more at the adjacent breakfast bar, which doubles as the kitchen island. The kitchen itself includes all the appliances, gadgets, pots, pans, and tableware you could possibly need, even if you’re hosting a holiday dinner… in which case the dishwasher will really come in handy.
If you think the main living area is ideal for hanging out, wait till you see the downstairs game room! When you’re not shooting pool at the billiard table, you can play video games at the arcade, put together an impromptu poker game at the game table, or sprawl out on the leather couch to watch a movie on yet another 42” HDTV. There’s a wet bar too, complete with refrigerator and handsome stools so that you don’t have to interrupt your game to grab a drink or a snack. The sofa, by the way, opens into a bed for two, enabling Smoky Ridge View to sleep ten people in all. If you’re vacationing with teenagers, we have a feeling they’ll want to commandeer the game room as their bedroom!
One of Smoky Ridge View’s three bedrooms is also downstairs. With two queen-size beds, it can accommodate a family with little ones or a passel of kids. Like the other bedrooms, it has a 32” HDTV with cable and DVD player, a private bathroom, and a jetted tub. Overdo it on the slopes or the hiking trail? A soothing soak will have you ready to get back out there in no time.
The main floor’s bedroom includes a king-size bed and even a seating area, making it a true haven within the retreat that is Smoky Ridge View. The third bedroom, upstairs on the loft level, has a king-size bed as well. If you want extra privacy, this bedroom is for you: Along with its private bath, it’s the only room up here!
If you like the interior of Smoky Ridge View, you’ll love the exterior. As well as a front porch, the house has two decks that look out over the treetops to the Great Smoky Mountains. Kick back on one of the rocking chairs (a mountain cabin must-have!) or settle back into the swing (another essential!) and revel in the outstanding vistas. During the day the chirps of chickadees are background music for the falcons and eagles soaring through the seemingly endless sky; a night the hooting of owls complements the silvery glow of the moonlight. Sounds almost perfect, right? Well, take it all in from the lower deck’s steamy, bubbly hot tub, and it really is perfect!
In short, if you’re looking for the perfect home away from home in the mountains, you’ve just found it! Don’t let it get away; book your stay today.
