Whether you’re looking forward to being on the go or taking things easy, you’ll love staying at Bearfoot Hideaway. The 3-bedroom, 2,200-square-foot cabin is close to downtown Gatlinburg and other local attractions. At the same time, it’s tucked away in a quiet, wooded area, with a large yard and deck. And if you do decide to spend most of your time relaxing at the cabin, the hot tub, pool table, air hockey, ping-pong, PlayStation 3, and other amenities will keep everyone entertained throughout your stay.
You’ll feel right at home as soon as you step inside Bearfoot Hideaway’s living area. Make some popcorn and settle back on the leather sofas to watch a movie on the 42” HDTV with satellite channels; warm yourself up with hot chocolate or Irish coffee by the stone-surround gas fireplace after a day on the slopes; curl up in the armchair with that book you never have time to read at home. However you want to relax, the living area is a comfortable, cozy place for it.
Another great gathering spot is the downstairs game room. Here’s where you’ll find the full-size billiard table; if pool’s not your game, the table has a cover so that you can play table tennis on it instead. Or perhaps you’d rather play air hockey or one of the many board games stacked in the bookcase, or watch a favorite show on the HDTV with Blu-ray player. There truly is something for everyone here!
It’s easy to work up an appetite with all that playing. Fortunately Bearfoot Hideaway’s kitchen makes it just as easy to feed a hungry horde. Open and spacious, the kitchen is fully equipped with stainless-steel appliances, loads of cookware and tableware, and plenty of counter space and elbow room. All you need to bring is food and an appetite!
You can serve meals at the dining table, which seats 6 easily and 8 in a pinch, or eat outdoors, at the patio’s picnic table. You can cook out there as well, on the charcoal grill. Afterward, burn off some calories—and make room for dessert—playing Frisbee or soccer in the spacious yard.
Or if you’re already tuckered out from hitting the slopes or the hiking trails, relax on the deck. You’ll find plenty of rocking chairs and even a porch swing, and because the deck has a ceiling fan, you can chill outside on even the hottest summer days. On the other hand, if you’d like to warm up—or simply pamper yourself—enjoy a soak in the deck’s hot tub. By day you can listen to larks and wrens; at night whip-poor-wills and crickets will serenade you.
Two of Bearfoot Hideaway’s 3 bedrooms are master suites, with a king-size bed, a full bathroom, a TV, and plenty of storage. If you’re vacationing with another couple, you don’t have to worry about drawing the short straw when it comes to choosing bedrooms! The third bedroom also has its own bathroom and TV, but instead of a king-size bed it has bunk beds—a full on the bottom and a twin on top—making it ideal for the kids. Another reason the kids will love this bedroom: It includes a PlayStation 3! You won’t have to ask them twice to head to their room for the night!
In addition, one of the living room’s sofas opens into a bed for two, so that Bearfoot Hideaway can sleep nine people in all. Among the cabin’s other amenities are a half-bath on the main floor, a washer and dryer downstairs, and free WiFi.
When you can bear to tear yourself away from Bearfoot Hideaway, you’ll be pleased by how close the cabin is to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Loop, and Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area, as well as to the restaurants and attractions of downtown Gatlinburg. Even Dollywood is less than a half-hour away.
It’s almost impossible to have anything but a wonderful time when you stay at Bearfoot Hideaway. Experience it for yourself, and book your stay today!
