A 3-bedroom cabin in the Black Bear Falls Log Home Community, complete with new furnishings throughout, Around the Bend offers the best of all worlds. Its woodlands setting is delightfully peaceful, but the house is less than minutes from the many attractions of downtown Gatlinburg. You can enjoy thrill rides and other amusements during the day, then return to the serenity of Around the Bend at night.
The 3 bedrooms are spread out, one on each of its 3 floors, for maximum privacy. Each has a king-size bed, plenty of storage, and direct access to one of the 3 bathrooms. If you’re vacationing with other couples, you don’t have to worry about drawing the short straw when assigning bedrooms—they’re all equally comfortable and spacious! And if you have additional guests, the sofa in the main floor’s living room opens into a bed for 2, as does the couch in the downstairs game room. All told, Around the Bend sleeps people.
While sleeping late is certainly a highlight of a vacation, that’s not the only thing you’ll want to do when you stay at Around the Bend. Given the beauty of the surrounding woods, you’ll want to spend plenty of time outdoors, reveling in the sunshine, the singing of the birds, and the mountain breeze. The cabin has 2 covered decks where you can kick back on rocking chairs or enjoy an alfresco meal (the fresh air transforms even burgers cooked on the charcoal grill into a feast!). Perhaps best of all, the lower deck has a roomy hot tub. What better way to gaze up at the constellations in the night sky than while soaking among jets of steamy bubbles?
Back indoors, the game room includes a full-size billiard table. If pool’s not your game, you can watch from the cushiony sofa or warm yourself by the fireplace. A 2nd fireplace is in the living room, just beneath the flat-panel TV with cable. Settle back on one of the sofas with an après-ski hot chocolate in winter or an ice-cold lemonade in summer and relax—after all, isn’t that what vacations are for?
Around the Bend’s prime location means there are dozens of restaurants just a quick drive away. But you can’t beat the convenience of having a fully-equipped kitchen at your disposal, whether you’re hosting a holiday dinner or simply want to make toast in the morning and microwave popcorn at night. The cabin’s kitchen has all the appliances, gadgets, cookware, and tableware you could possibly need—and a dishwasher to make cleanup a snap. As well as the deck dining table, there’s an indoor table that easily seats 6.
Around the Bend’s other amenities include a washer and dryer, free WiFi, and free use of Black Bear Falls’ heated adult and children’s pools in the summer. Year-round you’ll benefit from the home’s proximity to Gatlinburg’s many attractions. Less than minutes away is the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which you can explore on foot, by car, by bike, or on horseback. Even closer is downtown Gatlinburg, home to an aquarium, mini golf, the Guinness World Records Museum, and a tram that’ll take you to Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park & Ski Area. You’re also near the Gatlinburg Arts & Crafts Loop, an 8-mile trail of galleries, studios, and shops, and the award-winning Bent Creek Golf Course, designed by British Open and Golf Champion, Gary Player. And one town over is Pigeon Forge, home to Dollywood, outlet shopping, music revues, and more.
Skiing and swimming, hiking and biking, thrill rides and golf—they’re all just beyond your front door when you stay at Around the Bend. So go ahead and reserve your stay today; we look forward to helping you enjoy your best vacation yet!
