Description

If your ideal vacation includes fishing for trout just steps away from where you're staying, you'll want to book your stay at Amazing River Retreat right now! Even if fishing isn't key to your getaway, however, you'll find plenty to love about this three-bedroom, dog-friendly (dogs only - up to 25 lbs.) lodge.

Located in a forested mountain valley, Amazing River Retreat is right on the bank of the trout-stocked Little Pigeon River. From the lodge's two spacious wraparound decks you'll hear the soothing burble of the waters rushing over the rocks. Along with the rustling of the breeze through the trees, the singing of warblers and thrushes during the day, and the chirping of crickets at night, it serves as ideal background music. Whether you're enjoying breakfast at the main deck's patio table, cooking dinner on the charcoal grill, or perhaps best of all, lazing in the lower deck's hot tub, you can savor the soothing soundtrack.

You can revel in the views from inside the lodge as well, courtesy of the great room's double-height wall of windows. The sunlight streaming in shows off the hand-rubbed light pine floors, walls and vaulted ceiling to perfection.

There's space for everyone to gather on the great room's well-cushioned leather seating, whether it's to watch the big game on TV or play charades in the glow of the stone-surround fireplace. The great room also hosts the dining area, which includes a gorgeous wood-and-wrought-iron table that seats six. Another four people can sit at the adjacent breakfast bar. If you're vacationing with another family, set up the kids at the breakfast bar. They'll love eating “on their own” while the adults linger over their meal at the table.

Speaking of meals, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare a cordon bleu feast or simply to reheat leftovers from the previous night's restaurant meal. From a refrigerator with ice maker to a dishwasher, we've got you covered!

Downstairs you'll find the game room, the perfect hangout for kids and adults alike. You can choose between shooting pool at the full-size billiard table or play foosball. Or you can stretch out on one of the so comfortable couches and watch a movie on TV-Amazing River Retreat receives plenty of satellite channels, including Showtime. The washer and dryer are conveniently located just off the game room, so you can do laundry while you lounge.

Just as the game room takes up nearly all of the downstairs, the primary suite makes up the entire loft level. The bedroom is huge, with a king-size bed, a desk, a sitting area, a flat-screen TV and a wealth of storage. Add to that the vaulted ceiling, the en-suite bathroom, and the magnificent view, and you have a haven you might never want to leave.

The other two bedrooms on the main floor are just as comfortable.. One bedroom has a queen bed and other bedroom has a King Bed, a TV, a ceiling fan and plenty of storage. If you need additional sleeping quarters, the sofa in the game room opens into beds for two, enabling Amazing River Retreat to accommodate eight people in all.

When you're not fishing for trout in the river that's right outside your door, there's plenty more to do in the area. Amazing River Retreat is no more than a half-hour drive from the attractions of both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. You can explore the wildlife, wildflowers and waterfalls of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park one day, the rides and attractions of Dollywood the next, and the galleries, shops and studios of the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Loop the day after that.

No matter how you spend your days, you'll love returning to the tranquility of Amazing River Retreat. It's really a fabulous place for relaxing body and soul. So, what are you waiting for? Book your stay today-we look forward to seeing you!

Great place to stay near Gatlinburg

I don't know why this house is listed as Bronze. The place was exactly as pictured. It was clean and well maintained. We loved the hot tub and pool table. Being on the stream was wonderful, caught a few trout! The beds were comfortable and we were provided plenty of soap, dishes and even coffee for each day. Convenient drive to Gatlinburg and to white water rafting. Loved it!!

Amazing it is !

We weren’t sure what to expect based on the previous reviews. But when we got there, The cabin lived up to its name “Amazing”! The open living room and deck overlooking the creek were Bomb ! Creating a peaceful experience. The river and the creek were so much fun! The cabin DOES have WiFi and there is NO cell service. It’s secluded and takes a bit to get to stores and such but that’s just what we wanted. GPS led us astray more than once. We would recommend this cabin and may even come back. The only bad thing worth noting is the next door neighbor had several loads of dirt dumped and used a bobcat to spread it. Started early and stopped late for three of the days we were there 🙄.

Much needed vacation

Our cabin was very nice but the only way we would consider staying there again is if there was wifi available. We used a ton of data driving around all day so it would have been nice if we could have been able to research things to do the next day while on wifi at the cabin.

Could’ve done better

The cabin itself and the location were beautiful, but when we booked our stay we were promised internet access which turns out to not be available with this property which is also unfortunately in a cellular dead zone. Also the cable tv was very unreliable. The game room down stairs was decent however the provided pool table accessories were mostly broken. Cleanliness of the cabin was mediocre, upstairs bathroom had a lingering sewage smell and there was trash under the sofas. The beds were in major need of updating, pillows were horrible and adequate bedding was not provided. If you are planning to book a stay at this “amazing river retreat “ be sure to pack your own bedding as well as means to communicate with the outside world and entertainment. Unless you’re planning to just “rough it “.
