Pigeon-Forge-Hot-Rod-Run

Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines.

And pack your sunglasses, because you’re about to see heaps of polished chrome at the Pigeon Forge Rod Run, the Smoky Mountain area’s largest auto show — and one of the premiere car shows in the country!

On September 17 through 19, thouscands of auto enthusiasts, vacationers, and Pigeon Forge locals will gather for a show of epic proportions in the foothills of the Smokies. Famous in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg community for its high-octane appeal, the Pigeon Forge Rod Run has been going strong for 33 years.

Pigeon Forge Rod Run Events
Browse hundreds of rare and restored cars or check out the many vendors selling hard-to-find parts for classic cars. Or drink in the Tennessee sunshine while you explore thousands of muscle cars and hot rods representing every rainbow color.

Whether you’re entering your ’69 Camaro to win prizes like “King of the Hill,” or the “ScottyD Dirty Dozen” (in which YouTube sensation ScottyD picks his favorite twelve rides) or you’re just along for the ride, it’s the perfect fall event for auto enthusiasts of all stripes.

And the month of September promises less crowded attractions – and, if you’re lucky, a first peek at some gorgeous fall foliage.

Formerly the Grand Rod Run, the event was moved from the Grand Hotel to the LeConte Center last year, to rave reviews — allowing for even more space for vendors and fans.

Admission to Pigeon Forge Rod Run
Ten bucks gets you admission (free for kids) and parking is free. With admission, you’ll receive a poster featuring Bobby Alloway and Cristy Lee of All Girls Garage on Velocity TV.

Cristy Lee will be lending her talents to host the event and take photographs – and she’s available for a meet and greet all three days, too.

Cruise the strip to check out the cars (or park your own – register here or sign up the day of) and then attend the show at the LeConte Center.

Best of all, the Rod Run is just a stone’s throw from all that Pigeon Forge has to offer.

Check out the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel, ride the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster, grab some grub at one of Pigeon Forge’s many restaurants, or kick back and enjoy the fresh air and panoramic views.

It’s the perfect excuse to pack your bags and reserve one of our many cabin rentals.

(Bonus: We have many cabins convenient to the event but with enough distance that you won’t need earplugs to drown out the din of roaring motors!). We can’t wait to welcome you to this exciting event – and to the gorgeous Smoky Mountains!
