Experience the sensation of being tossed in the wind by a massive tornado as you fly through the 70 mph twists of the Tennessee Tornado roller coaster! Ever wonder what it would be like to be sucked up by a powerful funnel cloud? Well, here is your chance to find out. Step inside the barn that has seen its share of cyclonic activity and await your fate.

Once you step inside the bullet car, brace yourself. Though only a quick 1 minute and 48 seconds, a tornado of this strength doesn’t need anymore time to leave its mark. You’ll be thankful for the shoulder restraints that will hopefully keep you from being sucked out of your seat – hopefully. As you leave the tattered barn, you can feel the storm coming. You’ll enter a covered shed where you can hear the wind howling; you’re about to get hit by a cyclone.

You’ll come into a small dip and a right turn after exiting the shed where the howling winds were giving their warning. Prepare yourself as you’re pulled up to the sky. Watch out as you peak the hill; the storm starts out small by dipping you down into a twist to the right, and then boom! You’re sucked down into blackness only to be shot up in the air in an upside down loop! If you think one and done, you’ve got a rude awakening headed your way. This storm cloud takes you flying a few hundred yards, and back upside down you go. You won’t be getting a break after this second loop takes you spinning; directly out of that loop, you’ll be tossed back up again for another hair raising, literally, flip.

With this twister, the third loop is a charm. Finally, after twisting its way through the mountains, this storm comes to an abrupt halt. You’ll be recovering before you even realize what has hit you with this ferocious and fast coaster. If you can make it through these three intense spirals, go ahead and call yourself an extreme storm chaser. Forget filming it; you’ve lived it!

Insider Tip:
Although teens and adults alike will love the thrills of the Tennessee Tornado, we don’t suggest putting younger children on it. Even though the height requirement is only 48 inches tall, this is a very intense and fast roller coaster that could possibly scare your child if they aren’t already used to rides of this magnitude.
