The pork rinds here are made fresh, and you may well hear them sizzling as you walk by. If you haven’t had freshly fried pork rinds before, you’ll notice a much richer flavor and crunchier texture than what’s sold in bags elsewhere. Additionally, there’s not just one type of pork rind available. In addition to the classic pork rind that’s unadulterated, you can also get barbecue rinds that come with a tasty sauce. There’s a reason pork rinds are a beloved and established Southern treat. Try some regardless of whether you’ve had them before, because few places make rinds as good as they do here.

Along with pork rinds, there are also some other basic snack options on the menu. For example, bags of cotton candy or popcorn are usually available. There are also several non-alcoholic beverage options.

The shack is located as you enter Craftsmans Valley from Owens Farm, and it’s a quick stop for a snack between the two park sections.
