Incredible views from the two porches of the river and mountains, fishing, kayaking, biking in front of this amazing home just down the road from Boone It has been recently renovated with high end furnishings and updated kitchen and bathrooms. The house has a complimentary computer and there is fiber optic WiFi throughout. It sits nestled between hills on 5.5 acres over looking the beautiful New River. A bubbling creek runs down from the big barn past the deck, across to join the New River. Fish, swim or tube right in front or just relax and watch the river from a rocking chair on the front or upstairs porches. The house is famous too - it is on the cover of the best selling novel Nobody's Fool by Pulitzer Prize winning author Richard Russo. Please note that this home does not allow animals of any kind in or on the property at any time. This is due to severe allergies in the homeowners' family. We are sorry, but service and support animals also may not be allowed as this would result in an undue burden and significant expenses to the owner to restore the property and arrange deep cleanings. River access across from the home may be difficult as hay is grown along the river edge.
