Merrywether Lodge is centrally located between Boone and Blowing Rock, just minutes to either town and all High Country attractions including a mile from the Art of Living Retreat Center. Only minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, location this good is hard to find! Featuring three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, and additional sleeping space in the loft, this is the perfect getaway cabin for a small family or group of friends! The master bedroom on the main level features a king bed, TV and full bathroom. Upstairs you'll find a queen room (complete with a large workspace which has a TV that doubles as a computer monitor!) and a room with two twin beds. These bedrooms share a full bathroom on the hallway. Also upstairs is a spacious loft with an antique arcade machine featuring 60 fun games! There are also 2 twin sleeper chairs (linen provided). Each bedroom is complete with blackout curtains or blackout blinds, allowing you to get a restful nights sleep! Outside, guests can relax on the large, mostly covered wrap around porch enjoying breakfast, lunch, or dinner or simply a cup of coffee from the Nespresso Machine at sunrise before heading out to explore town. There is a gas grill on the porch for guests to use (propane will be provided). Roast marshmallows and tell campfire stories down by the fire pit, or take a dip in the brand new hot tub after a challenging day hiking on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Perfect way to unwind! Additional Notes: - Guests with electric vehicles can use the Level 2 EV charger mounted on the side of the home. - Repeat guests returning to Merrywether Lodge can receive a 10% discount. - All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. - Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a firestarter for $25 plus tax. - Towels and linens will be provided for you. This home welcomes mature, non-aggressive dogs for a pet fee of $25 per night per dog. Aggressive dog breeds include but are not limited to: Akita, American Staffordshire Terrier, Chow Chow, Doberman, German Shepherd, Pitbull, Pressa Canario, Rottweiler, Wolf Hybrids, or any other mixes that include breeds. Thank you for observing this rule and not requesting an exception. - Please observe a quiet hour of 10PM as there are full time residents nearby. - AWD or 4WD vehicles are required during winter months.
