Come and stay Above Boone! This nicely updated 3 bedroom home, perched on Howards Knob just 10 minutes above Downtown Boone, is a great home base for your High Country adventures! The main level offers a great room with a well equipped kitchen, a seating area, and a big TV with streaming apps pre-loaded ready for you to enjoy. Downstairs is a den with a second living area, offering more space to spread out and relax. The cabin offers three bedrooms and three full bathrooms so there's plenty of space for everyone to get ready every day. The main level offers a master bedroom suite with a King bed and attached bath with tub/shower. Downstairs is a Queen bedroom and a bedroom with a set of Twin bunk beds and an XL-long single twin bed, and each of these bedrooms has its own full bath with tub/shower. There's also a twin sized air mattress and a Pack N Play in the twin bedroom closet for the littlest guests! Relax and enjoy the cool mountain air. At over 4,200' elevation the breezes here are refreshing. On the deck features a gas grill ready for you to barbeque up a feast. Enjoy smore's over the SoloStove smokeless wood burning device. And you and your loved ones can enjoy your creations on the outside dining table set. During winter you can see the mountains through the surrounding forest, and in summer the leaves fill in to offer wonderful privacy. Just 10 minutes down the mountain is historic downtown Boone, which offers a wonderful selection of unique shopping and dining. All of the High Country's best attractions are just a short drive away. Thank you for not bringing pets into this home. - Located at over 4200' elevation, this home does not offer air conditioning. It does have a heating system for winter. - Firewood may be added by reaching out to us more than a week in advance. You get two wrapped bundles and a firestarter for $25/night. - Due to the elevation, 4WD vehicles are required November-March, and chains may also be needed during inclement weather. The roads are all plowed after a storm, but the neighborhood street and parking area are both gravel. We are happy to help you find a home with access you are comfortable with any time of year!
