With a reverse floor plan, the main level upstairs has a great room with a vaulted ceiling, kitchen, dining area, along with four sleeping areas and two baths. Downstairs has another family room, master ensuite with full bathroom and a laundry room. To the left of the great room upstairs is the upstairs master ensuite with full bathroom, king size bed and flat screen TV. Next to that is a bunk room with twin bunk beds and a flat screen TV that plays DVDs. The open concept living area upstairs has a great room with a gas log fireplace, 50-inch HDTV, sound bar and DVD player. The fully-stocked kitchen has granite countertops, an island and a large farm table. To the right of the great room are two additional sleeping areas with queen beds and a separate bathroom. The upstairs covered deck includes comfortable seating with a couch, chairs and swings to enjoy the sights and sounds of the river below. A dining table with four chairs as well as a gas grill are also on the deck. Downstairs has a second family room with a sectional sofa arranged around an HDTV, DVD player and shelves filled with DVDs, books and games. An extra dining table and chairs are downstairs along with an air hockey table. Also in the downstairs is a master king ensuite with private bath and large walk-in closet, as well as a separate laundry room. Outside on the lower level covered patio the hot tub waits for you. Additionally, the patio which stretches the entire front of the house includes an additional table and four chairs. A large, gently sloping yard leads from the home down to the Watauga River across the street. Enjoy 75 feet of private frontage on the Watauga River, known throughout the region for its wonderful fly fishing, by taking a short walk down the private access to the river directly in front of the home. It is shallow and gentle enough so young children can splash and play, and after a heavy rain you can take a leisurely tube trip from several locations including from near the Mast General Store closeby. Resin Adirondack chairs are also provided so you can comfortably enjoy the riverside. The home is conveniently located in the peaceful and picturesque community of Valle Crucis, five minutes from the original Mast General Store and the Valle Crucis Community Park, and is next door to the private home known as the Baird House, the oldest residence in Watauga County. Valle Crucis is close to many High Country areas including Boone, Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, Linville and Grandfather Mountain. The home has plenty of space for all seasons - bring your skis and snow boots in the winter or your rafts, tubes and fishing gear in the summer! There are full time residents living nearby this home.
