Family-owned and operated since 1994 in Hendersonville, NC, is the family-favorite Grandad’s Apples N Such. Pat, who is a fourth-generation apple farmer, is proudly carrying on the tradition of farming that has been passed down in his family. Along with his wife Leslie who manages the Market aspect of the business and his two daughters Kaylin and Kayce and their families, Pat runs the 120 acres of farmland that produces apples, pumpkins, peaches, and more.

With over 30 different varieties of apples grown on the premises, Grandad’s Apples N Such is an ideal location to get some delicious, fresh, farm-grown apples. You can mix the types, choosing a bit of each variety or purchase apples by the ½ peck, peck, ½ bushel, or bushel. There is no “you-pick” option at the farm at the present time.

The many varieties of apples are available at varying times throughout the year based on the ripening season for each variety. Some options you can choose from include Ginger Gold, Zester, Golden Supreme, Honeycrisp, Ruben, Golden Supreme, Golden Delicious, Red Delicious, Fuji, Red Rome, Granny Smith, Arkansas Black, Pink Lady, Gold Rush, and many more. The ripening schedule for apples begins in early August and goes through mid-October, with the varieties being available at different times. Also available at various times the year are pumpkins in Grandad’s pumpkin patch. Here you can find pumpkins and jack o’lanterns in every shape and size imaginable.

In addition to enjoying a visit to this picturesque farm for pumpkins and fresh apples, guests can also shop in the market shop on-site, which includes products like mountain cabbage and peaches. Grandad’s Apples N Such market also features local honey, canned goods, such as jams, jellies, chow-chow, apple butter, and more, handmade crafts, and fall merchandise.
